Craigentinny was very much in the pink tonight.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Lochend Golf Club Ladies Section a special American Greensome competition was held. And it was pretty apt that it was won by two of the mainstays of the club, Pat Meikle and Eunice Reid who scored an excellent 43 stableford points. Another object of the Pink Evening was breast cancer awareness. We may have not managed the Moonwalk on Sunday but the ladies certainly got into the spirit of promoting this very worthy cause. A donation of £111 was raised tonight and will be doubled by the Lloyds TSB Matched Giving scheme to be donated to the Breakthrough Cancer Awareness (Scotland). Captain Fiona Findlay, who organised the evening, was delighted that so many ladies got into the spirit of the event. It was also nice to reminisce with the many old photos of members past and present, my how hairstyles have changed.
