Nice to see Jane Maclean is back on winning form again with two trophies in fairly quick succession. Jane followed up her recent Summer Matchplay win (defeating Yvonne Murdoch 3 & 2 in the final) with the only under-par score today (68) to win the Centenary Trophy. Eileen Gillespie won the Silver with 69 from second place Fiona Findlay(71) and Sandra Craig took the Bronze with 74 with runner-up Mayte Vaamonde one stroke behind. The competition was followed by a very enjoyable meal (well it helped me forget about my bad score).

26th June DIANE CROLLALINDA BAIN Linda Bain stunning scratch 68 makes it three-in-a-row
It was a third medal win in succession from Linda Bain and today's was her best yet. So much so that it had us looking back the record books. It's the first time anyone has won three medals in a row and in all the years of medals and Ladies Opens there is no record of any lady having carded better than her stunning scratch score of 68 so (unless anyone knows better) it could be a Ladies course record.
Linda's medal winning score was 63, Pat Meikle was runner-up with an excellent 66 (good enough to win on any other day) and Jaci Moriarty also came in under par with 68 in third place.
