9th July JACI MORIARTY AND DUNCAN IRELAND Jaci and Duncan win at Liberton.

With Coleen and Bren losing at the first hurdle it was left to Jaci and Duncan to fly the flag for Lochend in the final against the home pairing. And it turned into quite a tussle with Jaci and Duncan eventually winning at the 3rd extra hole. Well Done.

PART OF THE VICTORIOUS HACKENBUSHES TEAM - ROBERT BINNIE, TAM KEENAN, CHRIS REID AND DEREK CANTLEY.

Hackenbushes undefeated all the way to win the winter league final
In a closely fought Winter League final the Hackenbushes were the winners by a one-hole victory over the Halfbreeds.
Tam Keenan and Robert Binnie secured a one-up win in the first tie over Bren Ford and Jamie Crisp.
With Duncan Ireland and Chris Reid holding out for a draw in the other tie over Jaci Moriarty and Johan Svard this was enough to give the Hackenbushes the silverware having come through the competition undefeated. It was to the Halfbreeds credit that they came so close to winning the trophy having come back strongly after losing their first two matches in the group stage.

There was also the best-of -the-rest competition today and BMFC took the honours with a combined Stableford score of 95 (helped in no small measure by Kenny Saunders who won the Individual Stableford Competition) followed by R's Holes, Bros In Arms and Latecomers who all scored 93.
