This was the final round in the Findlay Cup (the best three from 4 round total) and it was still Colin and Duncan who topped the table with the same 3-round score of 189. I believe although it's not been confirmed that Colin takes the Cup on the countback. |

Tremendous personal best from David Harper to win the March Medal
For the second time this weekend a Lochend
competition produced an amazingly low scoring round.
David Harper played one of those rounds that most of us only dream about to
card his best ever scratch score of 66 to win him the Salvesen Shield (a trophy
which has been played for since 1902) with a Net 58 three years after being
runner-up to brother Steven in that very competition.
On any other day the score of 62 would have been a winning score but for Mick
Devine and Andrew Hutchison their excellent scores were 2nd and 3rd place
respectively.

Neil Fenwick on the road to the Euro Tour.
I'm sure all the Lochend members wish young Neil
Fenwick the very best as he embarks on the long road to the European Tour.
Having completed his PGA training under Jacky Montgomery at Dunbar and
secured a substantial three year sponsorship deal from an Edinburgh based eCommerce company Neil now enters the EPD tour (one of
the third-tier circuits in Europe) beginning shortly in Morocco. His best win
to-date on the Tartan Tour was last years Young
Pros' event at Shotts, shooting a course record 63
in the opening round to eventually win by 5. Here's hoping for more of the
same on tour. Yes Neil has come a long way since 2004 when he became the
youngest ever Lochend Club Champion at the age of
16.
